This lot consists of the following Japanese Type 30 bayonets: 1) Training Type 30 Bayonet. Early style bayonet with bright blade & hooked crossguard. No visible arsenal markings on blade. Pommel numbered "180". Asian hardwood grips. One grip panel has faint Kanji stamps. Steel scabbard. CONDITION: grips appear sanded with scratches, staining & dings. Metal is turning gray with scattered oxidation. 2) Kokura Type 30 Bayonet. Early Type 30 bayonet with Kokura/Tokyo arsenal marking & hooked crossguard. Blued finish. Asian hardwood grips. Steel scabbard. CONDITION: crossguard & pommel are a dull gray patina with oxidation. Blade has areas that are devoid of finish with pitting & scattered oxidation. Handles show notable flaking, dings & handling wear. 3) Training Type 30 Bayonet. Early style bayonet with bright blade & hooked crossguard. No visible arsenal markings on blade. Asian hardwood grips. Steel scabbard. CONDITION: crossguard & pommel are a dull gray oxidized patina. Blade remains partially bright with a large amount of dried grease & some oxidation Grips show some chipping, dings & staining. Scabbard is mostly a dull brown oxidized patina with staining. 4) Kokura Type 30 Bayonet. Early Type 30 bayonet with hooked crossguard, rubberized canvas frog & steel scabbard. Blade has bright finish & Kokura/Tokyo arsenal symbol. Asian hardwood handles. Green painted steel scabbard. CONDITION: crossguard & pommel are a dull gray oxidized patina. Blade remains mostly bright with some light oxidation. Handles show scattered roughness, flaking, dings & black staining. Strap of frog is broken & frog shows scattered flaking. Scabbard shows scattered flaking paint, light oxidation & edge wear. 5) Type 30 Bayonet made by National Denki under Kokura supervision. Hooked crossguard & blued blade. Asian hardwood grips. Steel scabbard. CONDITION: metal has areas turning gray with scattered oxidation & edge wear. Grips show a few dents, some dings & handling marks. Scabbard is turning gray with scattered oxidation & pitting. 6) Training Type 30 Bayonet. Early style bayonet with bright blade & hooked crossguard. No visible arsenal markings on blade. Asian hardwood grips. Steel scabbard that is missing its screw . CONDITION: crossguard & pommel are a dull gray patina with oxidation. Blade shows scattered oxidation & dried grease. Grips show scattered cracks, black staining & dings. Scabbard is a gray patina with scattered oxidation. 7) Early Kokura Type 30 Bayonet. Brightly finished blade with Kokura/Tokyo arsenal marking. Handles show some chip, staining, chips & dings. Scabbard shows shows overall oxidation & some traces of bluing. 8) Type 30 Bayonet made by Unknown company under Kokura supervision. Early bayonet with hooked crossguard. Blued blade with Kokura & unknown subcontractor symbols. Asian hardwood handles. Steel scabbard. CONDITION: blade retains a high degree of arsenal blue with some edge wear & dried grease. Pommel & crossguard are a dull gray patina with oxidation & some pitting. Grips show some staining, dings & handling marks. Scabbard is turning gray with edge wear, oxidation & pitting. 9) Early Kokura Type 30 Bayonet.
