MOTORCYCLE SCABBARD. Lot consists of: 1) Unmarked (likely) reproduction Thompson submachine gun scabbard, as would have been used on Harley Davidson's WLA motorcycle in service with the U.S. Army during WWII. Brown leather construction with brass fittings. Spine area exhibits a layer of apparent lacquer. 2) U.S. WWII Thompson submachine gun drum mag. pouch for a 50-rd. "L" drum. Flap is marked "U.S." in black ink, with a partially legible "G. B. MFG. CO. INC./ 1942" marked on the interior. Canvas construction with blackened brass fittings. 3) x6 30-rd. Thompson submachine gun stick mags. x3 mags. remain in arsenal packaging, with x2 having been opened at one time. x3 mfg. by Seymour Products Co., x2 mfg. Crosby Co., x1 (unknown) remaining sealed in arsenal packaging. CONDITION: scabbard is good, showing scattered handling marks and some spots of crazing along edges. Canvas drum carrier is very good, with fading to markings. Mags. exhibit varying degrees of wear, oxidation, and pitting, with arsenal wrapped mags. remaining in notably better condition.
