PISTOLS. This lot consists of the following Japanese Type 14 Nambu pistols all in Cal. 8mm Nambu: 1. NAGOYA TYPE 14 NAMBU SEMI AUTO PISTOL. S# 50266. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Square notch rear sight. Matching numbers on both grip panels, trigger, bolt, cocking piece & firing pin extension. Firing pin appears mismatched. Right rear of slide has serial number, first series & Nagoya markings. Right rear of frame has 17.2 Showa date denoting February, 1942 production. Reblued finish. Grooved Asian hardwood grips. MAGS: 1-8 rd. numbered to a different gun w/ polished baseplate. CONDITION: grips show scattered dings, scratches & handling wear. Metal retains nearly all of its reblue finish. Bore shows some scattered light pitting. (24-2327/MJC). 2. NAGOYA TYPE 14 NAMBU SEMI AUTO PISTOL. S# 96243. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Square notch rear sight. Matching numbers on firing pin extension, bolt, cocking piece & mag. Firing pin & grips appear unnumbered. Right rear of slide has serial number, first series & Nagoya markings. Right rear of frame has 18.10 Showa date denoting October, 1943 production. Blued finish. Mag releases very stiffly when hand operated. Smooth hardwood replacement grips w/ brass grip screws. MAGS: 1-8 rd. matching to frame. CONDITION: grips show some handling wear. Metal is mostly a dull gray patina w/ scattered pitting & oxidation. Bottom part of front strap button is missing. Bore shows scattered pitting but strong rifling. 3. NAGOYA TYPE 14 NAMBU SEMI AUTO PISTOL. S# 14972. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Square notch rear sight. Matching numbers on bolt, trigger, cocking piece, firing pin extension & firing pin. Firing pin tip is broken off. Right rear of slide has serial number, second series & Nagoya markings. Right rear of frame has 19.2 Showa date denoting February 1944 mfg. Reapplied chromed finish. Mag release & safety not working properly. Smooth clear replacement grips. MAGS; 1-8 rd mismatched. CONDITION: grips show some dings & scratches. Metal shows some scratches, staining, oxidation & pitting. Bore shows scattered oxidation. (24-2327/MJC). ALL CURIO. $700-1000 for lot.
