GALLEON NUESTRA SENORA DE ATOCHA. In 1622 a fleet of Spanish treasure galleons were caught in a hurricane off the Florida Keys and sunk. At the time the ships were laden with silver, gold, gems, tobacco, copper etc., bound for Spain. In the late 20th century, the famed treasure hunter Mel Fisher made one of the most remarkable and historic discoveries of sunken treasure when he located some of these lost galleons. These two coins are authentic silver 8 Reale coins removed from that sunken ship. Accompanying each coin is a Treasure Salvers Inc. Certificate of Authenticity. 1) Coin No. 86A-193260, Reign of Philip III, Mint, POTOSI, assayer not visible, weight 14.00 grams, Grade 3. 2) Coin No. 86A-139322, Reign of Philip III, Mint, POTOSI, assayer not visible, weight 18.00 grams, Grade 3.
