1) LOEWE CHILEAN 1895 MAUSER BOLT ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 308 Win. S# A5990. Bbl. 18". Blade front sight with protective ears. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1400m that is missing its screw. Mismatched numbers throughout. Receiver ring has Chilean crest. Left side of receiver has Chileano 1895 & Loewe markings. Rear of receiver has "NATO 1961" markings denoting update to the 7.62 NATO round. Blued finish. Hardwood stock with left side sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows a crack at handguard tip, scattered staining, dried cosmoline, a few gouges, some chips, overall wear, dings & handling marks. Metal is an overall silvery gray patina with a large amount of dried cosmoline, scattered oxidation, edge wear & some pitting. Safety not engaging but action is otherwise functional. Bore has good rifling but dried cosmoline & oxidation. (01-28763/MJC).
2) SPANISH 1893 LOEWE MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 7mm Mauser. S# F8714. Bbl. 29". Blade front sight. Early style ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Rear sight is bent. Cleaning rod is unnumbered but all other visible numbers are matching to receiver. Spanish American War era 1893 Mauser rifle very likely one captured in Cuba. Rear sling hardware is missing its lower screw & rear band also missing. Front band is loose. Receiver ring has Spanish crest & 1896 date. Left side of receiver has 1893 Spanish & Loewe markings. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & faint 1896 Spanish cartouche. Cleaning rod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Spanish M1941 bayonet with scabbard in fair condition;. CONDITION: stock set has added finish with some chipping on right side of handguard, a faint carved set of initials on left side, scattered finish wear, dings, scratches & handling marks. Metal is mostly a dull gray patina with traces of original blue, scattered oxidation & pitting. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Pitted worn bore with visible rifling.
