1) Dutch 1895 Mannlicher Bolt Action Rifle. Cal. 6.5 Dutch. S# 2361H. Bbl. 31 1/2". Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 200m. Bolt parts, front band & bottom metal are all matching to receiver. Other visible parts are mismatched. 1897 dated & Steyr made Dutch M95 Mannlicher. Arsenal blue finish. Hardwood stock set that appears WW2 German modified with K98k style sling arrangement, plugged bottom slot & repro sling. Right side of butt has strong 1897 dated cartouche & faint added white numbers at rear. No cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set has a darkened appearance with a 3" crack behind upper tang, several gouges, some chipping in ramrod channel, scattered dings, abrasions, scratches & handling wear. Metal is turning gray with oxidation more heavy on front end, scattered edge wear & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore has strong rifling but scattered pitting & oxidation. (01-28426/MJC).
2) Early Terni 1891 Carcano Bolt Action Rifle. Cal. 6.5 Carcano. S# QH3088. Bbl. 30 3/4". Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. Stock number is faint but does not appear to match bbl. number. Bolt is also mismatched. 1895 dated bbl. with Terni & "TUBATO" rifling rework marking. Arsenal blue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. Replacement cleaning rod present. Left side of stock has carved "X". CONDITION: stock set shows some adhesive residue on top of wrist, a few gouges, chips, a tight crack ahead of buttplate, scattered dings, finish loss, handling marks & scratches. Metal shows strong traces of arsenal blue with scattered oxidation, fading to gray, edge wear, handling marks, & light pitting. Action cycles properly when hand cycled but safety may require attention to fix. Bore shows light pitting but strong rifling. PROVENANCE: From the PMRB Collection.
