This lot consists of the following antique military rifles converted to shotgun:
1) British Martini Henry Shotgun Conversion. Cal. 16 Ga. S# 20783. Bbl. 33" smoothbore. Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight. Action has 303 Brit markings as well as Enfield arsenal & 1888 date. Right side of bbl. has faint British sale proofs. Reblue finish. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. CONDITION: stock set has older added finish with some chipping, scattered dings, finish loss, handling marks & scratches. Metal retains nearly all its reblue with scattered finished over pitting, oxidation, dings, edge wear & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Dark poor pitted & oxidzed bore. (01-28388/MJC).
2) Swiss M81 Vetterli Shotgun Conversion Shotgun. Cal. 410. S# 217233. Bbl. 33" rifled. Blade front sight. Swiss style rear sight. Rifle has been extensively modified to single shot 410 configuration with cutdown forend, removed mag assembly, removed left & rear sections of receiver. Rear of receiver crudely marked "410 GA". Metal inventory tag present on trigger guard. Hardwood stock set with missing sling hardware. Forend is loose. CONDITION: stock set appears sanded with a 4 1/2" crack on underside of forend, further forend cracks, a few chips, scattered dings, scratches, handling marks & wear. Metal shows overall fading with notable tool marks on bbl. around rear sight, strong bluing on bbl., further scattered dings, tool marks, edge wear & oxidation. Action is functional when hand cycled.
