This lot consists of two Type 14 Nambu pistols, both in Cal. 8mm Nambu: 1. CHUO KOGYO TYPE 14 NAMBU SEMI AUTO PISTOL. S# 17800. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Square notch rear sight. Right rear of the slide has serial, Chuo Kogyo, and first series markings. Right rear of the frame has "18.11" Showa date denoting November, 1943 mfg. Matching numbers on the bolt, cocking piece, trigger, and mag. Firing pin, firing pin extension, and both grip panels appear unnumbered. Blued finish. Rear of the cocking piece appears a bit warped. Grooved Asian hardwood grips. MAGS: 1-8 rd., matching to frame. CONDITION: grips show a scratch from safety operation, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal has a mostly dull gray patina with scattered oxidation and traces of original blue. Very good bore. (24-2328/MJC). 2. NAGOYA T14 NAMBU SEMI AUTO PISTOL. S# 64440. Bbl. 4 1/2". Blade front sight. Square notch rear sight. Right rear of the slide has the serial number, first series, and Nagoya markings. Right side of the frame has an 18.2 show date, denoting February 1943 mfg. Matching numbers on the trigger, firing pin, bolt, cocking piece, firing pin extension, and both grip panels. Firing pin is broken. Blued finish with strawed safety. Grooved Asian hardwood grips. MAGS: 1-8 rd., brightly finished and numbered to a different gun. CONDITION: grips show scattered dings, scratches, and handling wear. Metal has a mostly gray patina with overall oxidation, scattered pitting, and traces of blue. Very good bore. (24-2331/MJC).
