Both Cal. 7.65 Arg. 1) S# P6573. Bbl. 29". Blade front sight that appears altered for a white bead. Later pattern ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Rear sight tab is mismatched but other visible parts are matching to receiver. Receiver ring has typical ground crest. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels & faint Argentine cartouche on right side of butt. Matching numbered cleaning rod present. CONDITION: sanded stock shows a couple tiny chips, a couple gouges, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal retains 60% arsenal blue with ground crest area on receiver ring, scattered edge wear, a couple spots of light pitting, some oxidation, areas turning gray possibly from old touch up & handling marks. Safety not engaging but action is otherwise functional when hand cycled. Bore shows a couple patches of pitting but strong rifling. (01-28197/MJC).
2) S# L7692. Bbl. 29". Blade front sight. Later pattern ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Stock, cleaning rod & rear sight tab are mismatched but other visible numbers are matching. Receiver ring has typical ground crest. Blued finish. Walnut stock with strong Argentine cartouche on right side of butt & bottom mounted sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock has arsenal rework finish with some flaking, stock serial has some scratches across it, stock otherwise shows scattered dings, scratches & handling marks. Metal retains 90% arsenal blue with ground off area on receiver from crest, scattered handling marks, areas fading to gray & light oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered dried grease & oxidation but strong rifling. (01-29021/MJC). BOTH ANTIQUE. $600-900 for pair.
