This lot consists of two percussion pistols that appear to be modern production both in Cal. 50: 1) NSN. Bbl. 7 1/2" rifled. Blade front sight. Square notch rear sight. Bbl. top crudely marked "S. HAWKEN ST LOUIS". Lock marked "WARRENTED".Bbl. has bright finish. Lock & hammer appear blued. Furniture has silver finish. Checkered hardwood stock. Hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: stock shows a notable chip ahead of trigger guard, a few other chips, some dings & handling marks. Metal shows scattered light oxidation. Bore shows scattered oxidation w/ strong rifling. (01-25342/MJC). 2) NSN. Bbl. 8" smoothbore. Brass post front sight. Bbl. crudely marked "R.V. GREEVES". Gun otherwise appears unmarked. Balance of metal appears gray. Brass furniture. Checkered hardwood stock. Brass tipped hardwood ramrod secured by brass pipe. Left side of stock has belt clip. CONDITION: right side of stock shows a crack behind nosecap, stock otherwise shows scattered dings & handling wear. Brass parts are a dull yellow patina w/ some oxidation. Metal is mostly a dull gray patina w/ scattered light oxidation. Action is functional when hand cycled. Smoothbore shows scattered oxidation. (01-25343/MJC). BOTH ANTIQUE. $300-500 for lot.
