1) Remington Rolling Block Saddle Ring Carbine. Cal. 50-56 Spencer. NSN. Bbl. 23 1/2". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 500yds. Remington Rolling Block carbine with last tang patent date being April 17th, 1868. Left side of action has saddle ring & bar. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted sling swivels. CONDITION: stock shows an old refinish with some light chipping, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal is a dull gray patina with overall oxidation, some handling marks & scattered pitting. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows pitting & oxidation along its length but visible rifling. (01-28399/MJC).
2) Remington Rolling Block Bannerman Single Shot Rifle. Cal. 30-40 Krag. NSN. Bbl. 23 1/2" marked with an "(S)". Blade front sight. 1901 Krag rear sight. Bannerman assembled Rolling Block rifle using antique action & other mixed parts. Reblue finish. Walnut stock set. CONDITION: stock set has added finish with a few cracks, forend being loose, scattered dings, scrapes & handling marks. Metal retains 85% reblue with scattered flaking to brown, handling marks & oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Good bright bore with some light pitting & frosting but strong rifling. PROVENANCE: From the PMRB Collection. (01-28400/MJC). BOTH ANTIQUE. $600-1,000 for lot.
