REVOLVERS. Both. Cal 38 Spl. Bbls. 2". Ramped serrated blade front sights. Fixed rear sights. 6-shot cyls. About 40,000 mfg. but very rare because most were destroyed amidst concerns about strength of alloy cyl. Many were converted by military armorers to have non-matching steel cyls. Backstraps marked "PROPERTY OF U.S. AIR FORCE". Left side of rear sights marked "REVOLVER, LIGHTWEIGHT, M13". 1) S# C287418. Matching numbers on frame, cyl., bbl. & extractor. Case colored trigger & hammer. Other parts have blued & anodized finishes. Checkered walnut grips with mismatch number on right panel & silver S&W medallions. Back of right panel has white paint rack number "75th". Left panel has scratch "105" number at rear sight. CONDITION: grips show some light chipping, scattered dings & handling marks. Trigger & hammer retain strong amounts of their case colors with some fading to gray & oxidation staining. Balance of metal retains 60% original blue & anodized finishes with scattered edge wear, scratches & flaking. Action appears to function properly when hand cycled. Very good + bright bore. (24-5202/MJC). 2) S# C368214. Destroyed M13 Aircrewman revolver. Cyl. latch, trigger assembly & several pins missing. Bbl. appears unnumbered. Checkered walnut grips with mismatched right panel & silver S&W medallions. Back of right grip panel has white paint "75th" rack number. CONDITION: grips show some dings, chips & handling wear. Metal shows large torch cut on frame above trigger guard, another torch cut on bbl., metal otherwise shows scattered flaking & oxidation. (24-5203/MJC). BOTH CURIO. $5000-8000 for pair.
