Lot of assorted U.S. M1911 holsters, including: 1) U.S. Model of 1916 M1911 holster mfg. by Clinton. Rear of belt loop is faintly marked "CLINTON" above an indiscernible year of mfg. and inspector initials "C.C.". Closure flap is embossed with "US" within an oval. Brown leather construction with brass rivets, drain/thong hole, stud, and hanger. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing overall. 2) U.S. Model of 1916 M1911 holster produced by an unknown mfg. Closure flap is embossed "US" within an oval. No mfg. markings remaining. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting moderate age related cracking and areas with varying degrees of crazing. Top of belt loop is torn, with hanger absent. Brass rivets have torn free. 3) U.S. M3 style shoulder holster. Front of body is stamped "U S". Brown leather construction with steel fittings. Rear of holster is marked "57775". CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered areas of age related cracking and crazing. 4) U.S. M3 black leather shoulder holster mfg. by Western Mfg. Co. Rear is marked "WESTERN MFG. CO./ S.F. CALIF. 7791527". CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, with soem age related cracking and crazing. 5) Unmarked period custom holster appearing to be for the M1911 platform. Brown leather construction with steel fittings. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, exhibiting varying degrees of age related cracking and crazing overall. 6) U.S. 1896 Pattern .38 caliber revolver cartridge box mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal prior to 1903 (indicated the lack of a year of mfg. marking). Closure flap is embossed with "US" within an oval on the front, with "A15677" stamped on the top, and "69" stamped below the closure flatp stud slot. Rear of body is stamped "ROCK ISLAND/ ARSENAL" above "H.E.K.". Complete with poplar wood 12-rd. cartridge block, stamped "RIA 1903" on one side. CONDITION: leather remains malleable, showing scattered handling marks, light age related cracking, and varying degrees of crazing overall. Stitching on bottom of belt loops has torn free. Brass fittings show areas of verdigris. (02-25799/MLW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
