SUPPORT PILOTS, & A LUFTWAFFE PRESENTATION PLATE. This lot contains items of questionable authenticity that may be of post-WWII manufacture. We encourage interested parties to examine items in this lot closely and in person, if possible. Preview times are available upon request. 1) A WWII-style German Air Gunner’s Badge without lightning. Badge features an oak leaf and laurel leaf wreath with a party symbol at the bottom. The central motif is that of a diving eagle. The reverse has a narrow pin and 2-rivet construction. The back of the eagle is marked “JMME”. This badge comes with a matching stickpin with a knurled pin. (02-22508/BF). 2) A WWII-style German squadron clasp for Destroyers and Air-to-Ground Support Pilots. Badge features a silvered winged arrow oriented downward and circled by a laurel wreath with a party symbol at the base. Extending out from the wreath is a spray of oak leaves on either side. Hanging from the wreath is a small bar with feathers on the end that reads “1500”. The reverse has a wide pin with single rivet construction and no markings. (02-22512/BF). 3) A WWII-style German brass presentation plate measuring 10” in diameter. Plate features a hammered finish with a repousse Luftwaffe eagle and the words “Fallschirmschule Wittstock 1941”. (02-22560/BF). CONDITION: badge shows moderate wear. Clasp shows light wear. Plate has a mellow patina with scattered areas of staining. $400-600.
