RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# USMC032. Bbl. 24" marked "1-56 AY". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Aperture rear sight. 1944 mfg. Springfield receiver. Number 32 of 500 Garands assembled by the American Historical Foundation to commemorate Marine Corps boot camp. Balance of metal has parkerized finish w/ blued buttplate, operating rod & trigger guard. Gold trigger, safety, rear sight knobs, sling swivels & front sight. Right side of operating rod has gold American flag & the words "U.S MARINE CORPS BOOTH CAMP M1 GARAND". Walnut stock set w/ bottom mounted sling swivels & repro M1907 sling. Right side of stock has gold plaque w/ USMC emblem. Right side of stock also marked "PVT EMORY E CLARK 583965 PARRIS ISLAND SC AUG 1945 OCT 1945 PL 135 DRILL SERGEANT SGT MUCK". CONDITION: stock set shows a couple light dings & some handling marks. Metal retains nearly all of its finish w/ some sparse light oxidation & edge wear. Very good bore w/ some light frosting.
