LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32-40 S# 10427. Very high condition small frame rifle. Bbl. 24" Octagon. Top flat, forward of cal marking is engraved "W.R.A. Co." No factory shipping records exist to explain the inscription. German silver blade rocky mountain front sight. Sporting rear sight missing elevator. Full length mag. Blue finish with case colored hammer, lever and crescent steel buttplate. Capped forend and straight grip stock of nicely grained walnut. Weight 7 lbs. 8 ozs. Serial number indicates 1887 mfg. CONDITION: bbl. and action retain over 90% bright original blue showing edge wear and spots of flaking. Mag. tube has a gray/brown coloration from apparent touchup. Hammer has good colors on sides. Lever has faded to gray. buttplate retains 80% lightly faded case colors. Wood has very good original finish showing a few small marks. Bright bore retains sharp rifling.
