Cal. 22 S, L, LR. S# 2584. Bbl. 24" rnd. with Ballard cut rifling and original sporting sights. Full length tubular mag. Blue finish with case colored action. Walnut forearm and S curved pistol grip stock with grooved composite buttplate. Mfg. in 1939, first year of production. CONDITION: over 80% lightly worn bbl. blue showing small marks. Action retains 50% lightly visible case colors fading to gray and showing spotted corrosion. Forearm has worn original finish showing handling marks. Sanded and refinished buttstock shows scratches and marks. Sound mechanics. Left side of receiver has plug screws in 2 added holes for scope base or sight installation. At least one action screw is a replacement. Bore is bright with worn rifling. (25-4580/DS). CURIO. $1,700-2,250.
