Cal. 32 Long RF. S# 29595. Bbl. is matching numbered slightly tapered 28" (offered in 26" and 30" as well) octagon (matching forend too) with brass blade sight in dovetailed base plus standard elevator adjustable buckhorn rear. Mfg. 1889 (1876-1891) with Marlin Fire Arms Co. marked nickel plated receiver, lever and buttplate; case colored hammer and breech block. Simple forend with slight flare at tip; clear straight grained buttstock. CONDITION: very good overall appearance having slight high edge barrel wear and occasional spots of peppery oxidation. Fading to plating showing mainly on right side of receiver, buttplate and top rear of receiver. Numerous very light marks on metal finish that appears original. Very faint marks on nicely refinished stock set with faintest of proud metal at junctures to stock. Nice tight lock up of lever. Good case colors on breech block and hammer. Factory drilled and tapped tang sight holes have plug screws and very slight witness marks of prior installation. Fair to good bore with wear and even faint cleaned pitting along with a couple of defined spots. PROVENANCE STATEMENT: Estate collection of Thomas F. Wolfinger. (01-22166/NW). ANTIQUE. $450-650.
