WITH A. O. NIEDNER CUSTOM BARREL. Cal. 22 LR. S# 29384. Bbl. 30" round measuring 7/8" across the muzzle. Top of bbl. is marked "A. O. NIEDNER / DOWAGIAC MICH". Adolph Otto Niedner(1863-1954) was a gunsmith who pioneered cartridge development including the 22 LR & 25-06 Remington cartridges. Globe front sight w/ a mid range graduated peep tang sight. Case colored action w/ rebated frame, full loop lever & slenderized double set triggers. Schnable tipped walnut forearm & S curved pistol grip cheekpiece walnut stock. Features include hand checkering & nickel finished Schuetzen buttplate. CONDITION: bbl. retains over 90% blue showing small handling marks & has plug screws in 4 holes for scope mount attachment. Action retains 30% nicely visible case colors w/ an area of light corrosion on left side. Refinished wood & refreshened checkering shows a few light marks. Properly operating set triggers.
