VARIATION LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32-40 S# 11127. Bbl. 28" round. Records indicate as few as 22 round barrel Model 1881 rifles were mfg., as few as 2 were 32-40. German silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight with replacement sporting rear sight missing elevator. Small frame action is fitted with scarce double set triggers. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. CONDITION: metal has gray coloration indicating touch up finish. Heavily sanded & refinished wood with chips & cracks around action. Triggers will not function properly in set position. Dark bore retains sound rifling.
