KAHLIS SCOPE. Cal. 44 Rem. Mag. S# 24186590. Bbl. 20 1/4". Model 1894 lever action rifle mfg. by Marlin. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Marlin's mfg. information above the model and cal. designations, with an encircled "JM" proof stamped at the breech. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with matte bluing present on the top and bottom straps of the receiver. Trigger exhibits a gold colored finish. High grade checkered wood straight grip buttstock and forend. Ramped, hooded, and brass beaded blade front sight. Rear sight is absent and fitted with a dovetailed blank. Hammer features a thumb extension. Receiver is mounted with a Karl Kahles Helia S 2.5x20 scope. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light wear, as well as some superficial handling marks overall. Left side of the receiver exhibits an area in the top right corner that appears to have been touched up at one time. Mag. tube exhibits striations and thinning from prior cleaning. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light to mild surface oxidation on the lands, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Scope retains a clear and sharp optic.
