Cal. 35 Rem. S# N2991. Bbl. 20 1/8". Model 336 R.C. lever action rifle mfg. by Marlin in 1955. Left side of the bbl. exhibits markings stipulating Marlin's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Plain wood pistol grip buttstock and forend. Underside of the buttstock has been drilled with an additional hole. Brass beaded blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. Receiver has been drilled, tapped, and fitted with an unmarked vintage scope. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as a few scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows some superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
