Cal. 44 Henry RF. S# 3452. Bbl. 24" octagon with early smaller barrel markings. Integral magazine, shroud rotates for loading. Thinned German silver blade front sight with early style 1000 yard graduated leaf rear sight. Brass action, lower tang stamped “H” between the lever latch and rear screw indicating inspection by B. Tyler Henry. Right side of receiver at front has acceptance stamps “HC” that appear to be freshly applied. Right barrel flat adjacent to receiver has acceptance stamps “C.G.C” & “C” that also appear to be freshly applied. Custom replacement perch belly stock of quarter sawn walnut has an exaggerated Henry bump on the right side. Right side of wrist is freshly marked with “C.G.C” cartouche. Rounded toe brass buttplate marked acceptance stamp “C” on right side of heel. Adjacent portion of stock is also stamped “C”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4 piece Iron cleaning rod held in stock compartment. Reproduction leather sling with brass front swivel hook. CONDITION: barrel retains over 90% of finely browned refinish. Receiver has a pleasing applied mustard color patina. Stock has very good finish showing small handling marks. Dark pitted bore retains intact rifling. (01-21710/DS). ANTIQUE. $10,000-20,000.
