RESTORED BY TOMMY HAAS. Cal. 44. S# 11619. Bbl. 8" round w/ octagon shank, New York address & brass blade sight. Gain twist rifling. Six shot round cyl. w/ Texas Ranger scene roll engraving. Cyl. banners are marked "MODEL U.S.M.R." & "COLT'S PATENT". Blue finished bbl. & cyl. w/ case colored frame, hammer & loading lever. Unplated brass grip straps. Bbl., frame, grip straps, cyl., loading lever & wedge have matching numbers. Left side of frame is marked "U.S." below patent marking. Bbl. & backstrap has "H" inspector's mark. 1 piece walnut grips, both panels have military cartouches. About 10,500 mfg. 1851-61. This revolver was mfg. 1851. CONDITION: restored by Tommy Haas. Bbl. retains 90% restored finish showing spots of remaining light pitting. Bore retains sound rifling w/ darkness & pitting in the grooves. Cyl. has exceptionally clear scenes. Frame, hammer & loading lever retain 80% dark case colors. Grip straps are acquiring a light tarnish. Very good grips, cartouches are remarked. Wedge is slightly loose.
