MODEL REVOLVER.
Cal. 31. S# 1221. Bbl. 3 1/4" octagon with pointed post sight. Mfg. 1857-1861 in US but based on British patents of Adams and Kerr. Top strap has "MADE FOR ADAMS REVOLVING ARMS CO. N.Y." in addition to Mass. Arms markings. One piece checkered walnut grip with frame integral metal grip cap; distinctive British style spur at top of backstrap. Matching numbered 5 rd. cylinder. Slim ramrod assembly on left side of barrel. Double action only functioning plus safety on right side of frame. Hammer spur is checkered, but only functions double action. CONDITION: good grey toned appearance with faint traces of original blued finish in protected areas. Light pitting being most pronounced on cylinder. Very good grip with light hand wear. Fair bore with even moderate pitting and distinctive rifling. (1-22118/NW). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
