19" Overall, 14" clip point blade, 2" wide, 5" clip w/ additional 4 1/2" beveled edge. Marked on ricasso “MARSH BROTHERS & CO. / PONDS WORKS / SHEFFIELD”. Full tang, stag slab grips w/ German silver pins, accompanied w/ well fit later vintage brown leather sheath. CONDITION: very good to fine overall. Blade is overall bright w/ staining & pin prick pitting. 4 1/2" “S” shaped German silver crossguard has gray patina, as do grip pins. Accompanying sheath is equally very good condition w/ scuffing; tip worn through. PROVENANCE: pictured on pg. 132 of “Accoutrements V” by James R. Johnston. (02-15875/JS). $2,000-3,000.
