FLINTLOCK LONG FOWLER. Cal. 10 Bore. NSN. Bbl. 70 1/2" rnd. 87" overall. Bbl. marked w/ commercial London proofs. Lock is a repurposed 1st model Brown Bess, still w/ discernible broad arrow proof, but any cipher or maker mark removed. Fowler is brass mounted w/ a mixture of European parts. CONDITION: very good overall, bbl. & lock have dark iron patina w/ good markings as noted. Fowler appears original, though forestock has restoration, though no splices visible, stock refinished. Brass has mixed mustard/olive patina. 67" Wood ramrod w/ flared tip & carved end also appears original. Mechanics are functional, though springs weak. Clear, dirty bore.
