Cal. 44. NSN. Bbls. 3". Matched pair of percussion derringer pistols. Lockplates are marked "DERRINGER" twice, with "DERRINGER" also stamped over the top flat of the breeches. Lockplates, cocks, bolsters, breeches, and tangs exhibit decorative scroll pattern engraving. Checkered wood stocks with engraved German silver hardware are stamped "76" just ahead of the trigger guard's pineapple finial. Dovetailed German silver blade front sight, with iron V-notch rear sights. CONDITION: iron components retain mottled brown and gray patinas, with some scattered spots of dark surface oxidation and age-related discoloration present overall. German silver hardware shows age-related discoloration but otherwise presents nicely. One pistol does not hold at full cock. Stocks show some wear to their varnish and scattered superficial marks and dings from handling and storage. One pistol exhibits a crack on either side that stems from the forend tip.
