SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 9156y. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Mauser arsenal in 1939. The bbl. extension is marked "1939" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/655 acceptance proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "42" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame assembly, bbl./bbl. extension assembly, breechblock and toggles, rear toggle pin, as well as the right grip panel. Aluminum mag. bottom is unnumbered. Left grip panel is unnumbered and is poorly fit. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster maker marked "R. EHRHARDT/ POESNECK" followed by "1939" on the rear, with a hand-scribed "KEYLOR" present on the rear panel and on the top of the closure flap. Holster contains 1 spare unmarked aluminum bottom mag., as well as a Mauser proofed loading tool. CONDITION: metal components retain good amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray and brown patinas. Bore exhibits moderate pitting and retains strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
