MATCHING BUTTSTOCK. Cal. 7.63mm. S# 11014. Standard late production Conehammer with a 5.5" bbl., fixed front sight, and pinned rear sight, graduated 50-500. Long extractor, independently secured firing pin, and early safety. Top of chamber with usual 3-line address: Crown/"C"/"U" on left side of bbl. extension; antler proof on right side. A lanyard ring is present. Major components are rust-blued with the usual fire-blued small parts. The bolt, hammer, and trigger assembly in-the-white. Extensive disassembly shows an all-matching gun, including the firing pin and serrated wood grips. The lanyard ring is absent. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory matching Conehammer shoulder stock, with initials, partially discernible, on each side. CONDITION: very good original condition, approximately 75-80% finish, with comparable condition fire blued parts showing no enhancement. Oil-darkened grips with scattered superficial handling marks. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Corrected manual mechanics. Comparable condition stock, the lid with a small chip front face at rear, the body oil darkened, no cracks, numerous handling marks, and previously noted initials carved on each surface. Hardware with moderate oxidation; the lug is now largely brown. An attractive all-matching late-production Conehammer with matching stock. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (01-25355/LMA). ANTIQUE. $3,750-5,500.
