DATED UPPER. Cal. 7.63mm. S# 84136. Bbl. 5 1/2". C96 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser. The top flat of the faceted breech is marked with Mauser's 3-line address, with the S# marked on the left quarter flat, and a double crowned "U" commercial proof on the left flat, followed by a "1920" Treaty of Versailles stamp. Underside of bbl. exhibits a partially legible Century Arms import mark. Metal components exhibit a matte black finish overall, save for on the hammer and bolt, which are polished in-the-white. Fixed blade front sight with V-notch tangent rear sight graduated 50-1000. Matching numbers are present on the frame (barely legible), sub-frame assembly, locking block, and floorplate. Bbl./bbl. extension assembly is mis-matched. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their matte black finish, exhibiting varying degrees of pitting overall. Grip frame is heavily pitted and is prone to breakage if attempted to be fired. Bore exhibits consistent moderate pitting, while retaining fair rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics.
