Cal. 6.35mm. S# 243224. Bbl. 3 1/8". Model 1910 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser. Left side of the slide is marked with the S#, followed by "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER. A.-G. OBERNDORF A.N." with "Mauser-6,35" and a double crown over "U" commercial proof (which is also present on the right side of the bbl. lug) on the right. Major metal components exhibit a rust blue finish, with the trigger and extractor exhibiting a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece crosshatched wrap around the wood grip. Blade front sight with a V-notch rear sight. All numbers are matching and include the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 9-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to pleasing gray and brown patinas, with some light superficial handling marks present overall. Grip strap and underside of the trigger guard exhibit moderate wear, thinning through to gray patina. Trigger retains fair amounts of its nitre blue finish, with the extractor retaining trace amounts of its nitre bluing. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grip shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with some chipping present along the front edges of the grip strap on either side. (24-1085/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
