HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 163813. Bbl. 3 1/8". Model 1914 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser. left side of slide is marked with the S#, followed by Mauser's mfg. information, with the cal. designation on the right. Sideplate is marked with the Mauser banner logo. Top of slide is marked with a double Crown/U commercial proof, with a small Imperial proof marked just ahead of the rear sight. Metal components exhibit a blue finish, with the trigger exhibiting a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered wood wrap around grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period brown leather holster marked "Uttz GRAF" on the interior of the closure flap. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their period blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with some scattered areas of light surface oxidation and pitting. Poor bore, exhibiting heavy pitting and retaining fair rifling throughout. Wood grip exhibits scattered marks from handling and storage, with a small crack on the bottom of the right side. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting wear, with some age related cracking and crazing. Closure flap appears to have been modified during the period, folding at a 90 degree angle. (24-1105/MLW).
