Cal. 7.65mm. S# 310145. Bbl. 3 3/8". Model 1914 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser. Left side of the slide is marked with the S#, followed by "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.-G. OBERNDORF A.N./ MAUSER'S PATENT", with "MAUSER - 7,65" marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a rust blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and extractor, which are nitre blued. Top of slide exhibits an area that appears to have been touched up at and around the ejection port area. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece flat checkered wood wrap-around grip. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, slide, as well as the bbl. MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory rust blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild edge wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation. Trigger retains the majority of its nitre blue finish, exhibiting wear on the face that shows through to gray patina. Extractor retains fair amounts of its nitre bluing, showing consistent wear and thinning overall. Fair bore, exhibiting consistent moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grip shows mild smoothing, as well as scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-2363/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
