"R.V." MARKED HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 515038. Bbl. 3 3/8". Model 1934 semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by Mauser. The left side of the slide is marked with the full S#, followed by Mauser's mfg. information, with "Cal. 7,65-D.R.P.u.A.P." marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered wood wrap around grip. Blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. MAGS: one 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked "515038", followed by an encircled "R.V." on the rear, possibly indicating Dutch Rijks Veldwacht issue. Interior of closure flap is handwritten "Muller" in black ink. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory finish, exhibiting light to mild edge wear, some scattered handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Left side of the slide exhibits a small area of finish loss. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few small spots of light surface-level pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grip shows some mild marks and a few minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some scattered handling marks as well as a few areas of light, age-related cracking and crazing. PROVENANCE: the estate collection of Charles Wagner. (24-4649/MLW). CURIO. $500-800.
