Cal. 38 S&W. S# 6607. Bbl. 3 1/2 with Hopkins & Allen markings. Round blade front sight. U-notch rear sight. Nickel finish with case-colored trigger and hammer. Second variant medium frame spur trigger revolver with exposed cyl. pin. Hard rubber grips with dog monogram. CONDITION: grips show scattered patches of flattened checkering and handling wear. Trigger and hammer are mostly gray with traces of case colors and scattered oxidation. Balance of metal retains 80% nickel, with an inscribed circle "S" on the left side of frame, some dings, scattered flaking, and oxidation. Hammer will push off when hand-cycled. Bore shows scattered oxidation and pitting but evident rifling. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Bill Peterken. (01-26060/MJC). ANTIQUE. $300-450.
