Cal. 2 3/8". S# NSN. Bbl, 14" silver inlaid iron with a 2 3/8" bell at the muzzle. The barrel shows numerous and artistically rendered foliate inlaid decorations. The lock has similar decoration as does the trigger guard. Heavy brass buttplate and brass ramrod thimble. The entry thimble is silver with engraved decoration. The stock has several elongated bone inlays with innumerable tiny brass tacks. Bone tipped wooden ramrod. CONDITION: iron has a dark ancient patina and many silver inlays are worn. Lock holds both full and half cock but the spring is almost non-functional. Stock shows significant wear and minor losses but no major faults.
