Cal 26. S# 1. Bbl. 3 5/8". This homemade revolver mimics the Colt Walker or perhaps Dragoon & looks quite authentic but does not appear to be a firing example. Bore appears to be smoothbore but is roughly finished. Bead front w/ notched hammer rear sights. "DIXON" is stamped on left bbl. flat & "1" on bottom of the frame, triggerguard & butt. Smooth walnut grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: hinged wooden box w/ brass furniture, silver colored square inlayed plaque engraved in script "PRESENTED TO F OGDEN BY HIS PARENTS JAN 2 1910". Miniature brass single cavity bullet mold w/ sprue cutter, wooden handle powder dipper, brass cleaning rod, modern cleaning brush, French type shotgun cleaning rod tip, 3 lead bullets & tiny empty metal tin handwritten "CAPS" and stamped "QUICKFL" CONDITION: Metal appears to be in the white w/ no evidence of any finish applied in the past & scattered pits & dings throughout. Hammer cocks but the cylinder doesn't rotate. Grips show light marks. Bore is rough machined & dark & discolored. (01-21852/CW). ANTIQUE. $600-800.
