Cal. 30 Luger. S# 66786. Standard configuration with a 4 3/4" slim barrel. Receiver with an American eagle on top. The central toggle is marked "DWM". Extractor marked "LOADED". A short frame, stamped "GERMANY", has a bright polished area denoting safe mode and grip safety. Checkered walnut grips are unnumbered, as is the magazine with a wooden base plug. MAG: 1 8rd. unmarked. CONDITION: fine. Major parts retain 60–70% original blue with a 1" x 1/4" area on the frame that is deeply pitted. Small parts retain about 40% straw. Grips show wear and a checkering recut. Bore is very good, lightly frosted. Mechanically good. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (23-5798/MGM). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
