REVOLVER. Cal. 32 Teat-Fire. S# 14692. Bbl. 3 1/4". Single action Teat-Fire revolver mfg. by Moore's Patent Firearms. Top of the bbl. is marked "MOORE S PAT. FIRE ARMS CO. BROOKLYN N.Y.". Rear edge of cyl. is marked "D. WILLIAMSON'S PATENT JANUARY 5. 1864". Sides of the frame feature a single line bordered panel of foliate scrollwork on a punch dot background, with foliate scroll motifs presents on the sides of the trigger spur, top and bottom of the frame, as well as on the sides of the bbl. Frame exhibits a silver plated finish, with the cyl. exhibiting a blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. German silver half-moon blade front sight with V-notch rear sight on hammer. All numbered parts are matching via the assembly # "EL92" and include the frame (beneath left grip panel), cyl., cyl. base pin, bbl., bbl. wedge, as well as the grips. CONDITION: frame retains the majority of its original silver plated finish, showing some spots and patches of light wear and thinning that are gently fading through to brass. Cyl. retains large amounts to the majority of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting some wear and thinning fading to gray patina, with scattered spots and patches of light to mild pitting. Bbl. has faded to a gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting and age related discoloration. Bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots and patches of light to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, with the cyl. exhibiting some minor side play. Grips show superficial marks and small impressions from handling and storage, with some spots of minor wear to the varnish. (01-26719/MLW). ANTIQUE. $700-900.
