Cal 62. NSN. 60" overall, 45.5" flared barrel, stock is edged with decorated sheet iron trim, numerous brass tacks, broad flared butt with scrimshawed ivory panel inset, unmarked snaphaunce lock, saddle ring stud, 11 barrel bands, several are engraved brass, chisel decorated ramrod tip. This style musket was used throughout the Maghreb region of North Africa for 300 years. This honest survivor has seen long use as noted by added barrel bands and strap repairs.
