SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 25-20. S# 80170. Bbl. 26" heavy sporter barrel by Maine's premiere gunsmith, Bill Morrison. BSA marks on left side of action plus right side has: "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA", "N.S.W." (New South Wales), and "32.230" where "32" references its caliber plus ".230" indicates the long version of the original .310 Cadet cartridge. Many were customized by gunsmiths to common US cartridges like this one. Standard original straight gripped stock with addition of Pachmayr white lined black rubber buttpad having basket weave pattern; 13 1/4" LOP. Shortened forend with hole through side likely for sling swivel or similar sling attachment method; original swivel on toe line of buttstock.
