ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 32 Teat-Fire. S# 20631. Bbl. 3 1/4". Moore's Patent single action revolver mfg. by National Arms Co. Top of the bbl. is marked "NATIONAL ARMS Co. BROOKLYN. N.Y.", with small patent markings present on the right side, and the S# marked on the underside. Brass frame features scrollwork engraving on either side, with small scroll motifs present on the top strap, butt, sides of the trigger spur, as well as on the sides of the bbl. Frame is mounted with 2-piece replacement laminated wood bird's head grips, retained via a large screw and hex nut. German silver half-moon blade front sight and hammer notched rear sight. Frame (beneath left grip panel), cyl., and bbl. (interior face) are matching via the apparent assembly # "GR 31". Frame butt screw, trigger/hammer spring assembly, ejector, and bbl. wedge are absent. CONDITION: frame retains scant traces of their original nickel plated finish, with the balance exhibiting a mellow patina. Iron parts have faded to a gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of age related discoloration, as well as patches of dark surface oxidation (primarily on bbl.). Bore exhibits scattered spots and patches of mild to moderate pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action does not function due to aforementioned missing parts. Grips show scattered marks and impressions, but otherwise remain sound. (01-29074/MLW). ANTIQUE. $600-800.
