AUTO RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 1876918. Bbl. 24". Springfield Armory 3-63 dated and "NM" marked on left front. Throat gauges less than 1.0. Muzzle gauges less than 1.0. NM .062 blade front sight with protective ears. NM-marked hooded adjustable aperture rear sight. Windage knob is "NM" marked but does not appear to be of USGI mfg. Rifle appears to be a Type II National Match, but bbl. lacks a "T" targeted marking. Operating rod is of Remington mfg. and is "NM" marked. Receiver has "SA-52" rebuild stamp. Several markings have added yellow highlight paint. Parkerized finish. Walnut stock set with bottom-mounted sling swivels and repro-tan M1907 leather sling. Inside of stock has matching grease pencil number and bedding that appears USGI in style. Right side of stock has "DOD Eagle" cartouche. Underside of pistol grip has circled "P" firing proof. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1942-dated UFH M1905 bayonet with scabbard in good condition. CONDITION: stock set appears lightly refinished with added oil, some scattered dings, and handling marks. Metal retains 95% arsenal rework parkerized finish with some scattered edge wear. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bright, near excellent bore. (24-5818/MJC). CURIO. $1,200-1,600.
