CARBINE. Cal.30 Carb. S# 203402. Bbl.18". Produced from about 1960 to the mid- 1970's these carbines used as many G.I. parts as possible except receivers. The carbines were reputedly used by some prisons and police departments. Adjustable aperture rear sight marked "PI". Blade front sight marked "N". Barrel band w/ bayonet lug marked "MMQ". 6-O'clock slide marked "PI". Flat bolt. Milled "Inland" trigger housing. Rotary safety. Mag catch w/ 30 rd. mag. extension. Walnut stock set. Low wood oval cut buttstock. Marked on left side with boxed "SA/JPL" and marked in sling slot "LW". Red painted rack number"83" at end of grip and white number "S 32.00" on right side of butt. Unmarked 4-rivet handguard. Green web sling. MAGS: 1-15 rd. Military issue. CONDITION: Original finish stock set has moderate wear and handling marks. Metal retains a mix of National Ordnance and military finishes with light wear and handling marks. Bore is shiny with moderately worn lands. PROVENANCE: from The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
