CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. S# 203402. Bbl.18". Produced from about 1960 to the mid- 1970's these carbines used as many G.I. parts as possible except receivers. The carbines were reputedly used by some prisons and police departments. Adjustable aperture rear sight marked "PI". Blade front sight marked "N". Barrel band w/ bayonet lug marked "MMQ". 6-O'clock slide marked "PI". Flat bolt. Milled "Inland" trigger housing. Rotary safety. Mag catch w/ 30 rd. mag. extension. Walnut stock set. Low wood oval cut buttstock. Marked on left side with boxed "BA / JPL" Benicia Arsenal rebuild mark and marked in sling slot "LW". Red painted rack number "83" at end of grip and white number "S 32.00" on right side of butt. Unmarked 4-rivet handguard. Green web sling. MAGS: 1-15 rd. Military issue. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear and handling marks w/ arsenal rework finish. Metal retains a mix of National Ordnance blue finish and arsenal rework Parkerization with light wear and handling marks. Bore has strong sharp lands w/ light frosting in grooves. PROVENANCE: formerly of the estate collection of Charles Wagner. (25-3364/RW). MODERN. $500-800.
