Cal. 44-40. S# 126. Bbl. 22 1/4". Model 1860 Henry lever action rifle mfg. by Navy Arms. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "HENRY'S PATENT OCT 16 1860/ MANUFACT'D BY NAVY ARMS CO. RIDGEFIELD, N.J.", with the S# stamped at the breech, and the cal. designation stamped on the left. Brass receiver plus buttplate exhibit a polished finish with the lever, hammer, and the bbl. / mag. tube exhibiting a blue finish. Plain wood straight grip buttstock. German silver blade front sight. Rear sight replaced with quality reproduction ladder style. CONDITION: receiver exhibits scattered spots of verdigris, discoloration and superficial handling marks overall. Blued components retain the majority of their original factory finish, exhibiting some spots of wear, some spots of light surface oxidation plus some superficial handling marks. Brilliant mirror bore exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Buttstock exhibits a few marks from handling & storage but otherwise remains sturdy & serviceable. (24-1766/MLW).
