WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 308 Win. S# 1997CO6952. Bbl. 23 1/4". VEPR semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, mfg. in Russia by BTL in Vyatskie Polyany and imported by ZDF. Left side of the receiver is marked "1997", followed by the S#, above what appears to be a "BTL" logo and "VYATSKIE POLYANY" and Russian proofs. Right side of marked with ZDF's "ZDF SLC UT" import mark, followed by Russian proofs, as well as "MADE IN RUSSIA" above the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a matte black finish overall, save for on the rear sight assembly, which is parkerized. Flat checkered wood thumbhole Monte Carlo buttstock and forend. Open top post front sight, with adj. rear sight graduated 1-3. Left side of the receiver is fitted with a optic side rail. All serialized parts are matching and include the receiver (on trunnion), bolt carrier, bolt, extractor, rear sight ladder, as well as the gas cyl. tube. MAGS: 1 5-rd. and 1 10-rd. black polymer mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box, containing paper wrapped accessories (appear unopened, save for the mags., which were partially unwrapped for inspection). CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory matte black and parkerized finishes overall. Right side of receiver exhibits a light dragline from cycling of the safety lever. Brilliant mirror chrome lined bore, retaining sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture is extremely fine overall. Box shows some light exterior wear from handling and storage, as well as a few holes and small tears, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
