Heer lists J. Ulrich working until 1828 in Bern, Switzerland. This interesting pistol is engraved “F. ULRICH 1817” on top portion of pellet channel, which is also fitted w/ one folding standing leaf rear sight & fine bead front. Release tumbler at rear is held by set trigger. Steel bow at front measures 11 1/4" & is retained by a screw. Stock of European walnut has flared grip which is nicely checkered. A silver shield is at top of grip. Iron trigger guard has vase shaped finial. CONDITION: fine. Pellet channel housing w/ traces of what appears to be original bright polish, bow & trigger guard have most of what appears to be their original blue. Stock retains most of its original finish, checkering quite dark. Bowstring is not present. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (02-15286/MGM). $800-1,200.
