Cal. 72. NSN. 59 1/4" Overall. Bbl. 43 3/4" rnd. w/ bayonet lug cut down on top as front sight. Musket appears purposely configured w/ detached forestock of different wood pinned to bbl. Musket was found in this configuration in NH according to consignor notes. Early lock is unmarked except for odd cartouche inside, possibly letters “LO”. Brass mounted, 4 ramrod pipes, only 1st is flared, buttplate has long tapered tang. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: collector notes. CONDITION: good to very good as configured, bbl. & lock have mottled gray patinas, brass has medium mustard patina. Rear pipe missing tail. Forestock & buttstock have hand worn patinas, there is old tacked wood repair between lock & bbl. tang. Mechanically fine w/ smooth pitted bore.
